An expert in humanitarian cash assistance, Cecilia Pietrobono is currently based in Ankara, advising on the development of the DG ECHO-funded Emergency Social Safety Net (ESSN). She has been working with DG ECHO since 2015, providing technical support to the cash responses in the MENA region, including Turkey, Jordan and Lebanon, and contributing to the wide discussion around cash assistance.
Previously, Ms. Pietrobono has worked with UNICEF, international NGOs and the public sector in the MENA region, Eastern Africa and Europe, managing emergency and post-emergency cash and food security programmes.
