
Jean-François Riffaud is an expert in humanitarian and international development aid, and an active advocate for Human Rights and IHL. He is the CEO of Action Against Hunger France, the international NGO expert in nutrition and food security active in 50 countries around the world.
After starting his career at Radio France Internationale, he spent two years at the French Embassy in Lebanon. Jean-François Riffaud participated in the creation of the French National Blood Service in 1998 as Chief of Staff to the President, then Director of International Affairs and Communication in 2001. He has led numerous development aid programs in the medical and health sector in Central Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.
He then spent 9 years as Director of Resource Mobilization, Communication and Innovation at the French Red Cross and took part to humanitarian emergency responses in Haiti, Lebanon and Libya in particular.
Jean-François Riffaud holds a Master II in International Economics and Development Law from the University of Paris and is lecturer at Sciences Po Paris.
