Jose Alberto Henao is currently National DME/MEAL Manager in Colombia (WV). He is a Social Anthropologist, M.A. in Educational and Social Development, with 20 years of experience in social research, formulation, monitoring and evaluation of development projects with vulnerable urban communities and also humanitarian responses for migrants and internally displaced people. He has been instrumental in community engagement, collecting data and perspectives of community and market interaction (hosts and migrant/ refugee population, local business vendors) and facilitated the testing and rollout of the Conflict Sensitive Market Analysis Tool (CoSMAT) in Colombia’s cash and voucher, market-based response to the Venezuela migration/ refugee crisis.
