Julie Lawson-McDowall currently provides technical advice to the CALP network, leading on the potential links between cash and voucher assistance and social protection systems with a special focus on the Middle East and North African region. She has worked with a range of development and humanitarian organisations in East and Southern Africa region. In East Africa, she worked on the humanitarian cash and voucher assistance in Kenya and Somalia.
Ms. Lawson-McDowall has also managed research for a regional project focused on expanding financial inclusion for the ultra-poor and on graduation programming.
