Kate Norton is the Operations Director of Legal Action Worldwide (LAW). Ms. Norton practised as a lawyer in the UK for seven years, specialising in development and property law before joining the humanitarian field. Ms. Norton has been a Country Director for the Norwegian Refugee Council and the Danish refugee Council, has been seconded to UNHCR several times as a Senior Protection Officer (PROCAP) and has been a Humanitarian Advisor for the UK’s FCDO (formerly DFID).
Ms. Norton has worked in humanitarian contexts across the world including Lebanon, South Sudan, Central African Republic, Syria, Iraq, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia and Burundi.
