
Katrin Bruehbach is responsible for the development of R-Cities thematic priorities: circular economy, climate resilience, and equity in recovery. She oversees the design and delivery of R-Cities’ programs across the urban landscape that connect city needs with resilience solutions from partners and investors. Furthermore, she serves as organizational lead on all aspects related to water, sanitation, solid waste, and climate adaptation, including identifying, developing, and evaluating relevant innovations, solutions, tools, funding sources, and potential partners who could bring value to R-Cities’ member cities.
Ms. Bruehbach also provides selected advisory services to cities and represents R-Cities in international working groups and committees. Previously, she was Director of Water Supply and Sanitation Solutions at 100 Resilient Cities leading global partnership opportunities within the urban water sector and designing programs and initiatives that leverage urban water initiatives, climate change adaptation and resilience thinking. Before moving into the resilience space, she spent more than 15 years developing the capacities of organizations and building partnerships, to produce lasting and meaningful results in improving water supply and sanitation service provision in developing countries. She holds an advanced degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Hannover, Germany.
