Maarten Konert has a background in Persian Studies and has been working in the humanitarian world since 2010. He joined INSO in 2014 as Safety Advisor in Kandahar, Afghanistan. In addition to approximately three years with INSO in Afghanistan, Maarten has worked in various roles with INSO in Palestine and Mali as well.
Mr. Konert is currently the Country Director of the program in the Central African Republic, having arrived in Bangui in September 2020.
