Maria Besiou is Dean of Research and Professor of Humanitarian Logistics at Kühne Logistics University. She is also the Academic Director of the Center for Humanitarian Logistics and Regional Development (CHORD). Her research focuses on humanitarian and sustainable operations.
Ms. Besiou serves at the editorial boards of academic journals. Her research appears in several case studies, award-winning papers and peer-review international journals
