
Holding a degree in private law and a master's degree in international studies and diplomacy, Mariam Touré, of Malian nationality, began her career in 2015 in the legal sector as an advisor in a business firm, before making a professional turn. She then worked in Senegal in the development of programs for WANEP Senegal, an NGO specialized in "peacebuilding" and subsequently, evolved as a communication and public relations officer for a company specialized in reproductive health.
In 2018, Ms. Touré obtained a scholarship from the University of SOAS in London where she obtained a master's degree in International Studies and Diplomacy. She then wanted to return to Mali to pursue her career in humanitarian work and joined NRC in early 2020 as an advocacy manager.
