
Marie-Pierre Caley is CEO of the French NGO ACTED, which she co-founded 25 years ago in Afghanistan against the backdrop of a forgotten crisis. Since then, she has overseen the development of ACTED’s activities in 40 countries, pursuing a dual mandate of emergency response and development interventions to support more than 20 million people in need worldwide. She has also contributed to launching diverse initiatives to foster an innovative, holistic and inclusive humanitarian and sustainable development agenda, such as the OXUS microfinance network, the Convergences platform, and the leading Geneva-based think-and-do tank Impact Initiatives.
