Meryame Kitir is the Belgian Federal Minister of Development Cooperation since 2020.
Previously, from 2015 to 2020, she worked as a group of the social party Vooruit in the the Chamber of Representatives. During this time, she was a member of the Investigation Committee - Terrorist Attacks 22 March 2016, Home Affairs Committee, Member of Committee P (supervision of police forces), and Member of Committee I (supervision of intelligence services).
