
Peter Paul Opata currently works with Finnish Refugee Council (FRC) in Uganda as a Program Manager where he manages the country program projects implementing Adult Education and soon to roll out Climate Smart Agricultural interventions funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Finland. He previously worked with FRC in Uganda as a project manager for a Financial Literacy Training Project funded by WFP. Prior to that he had worked for Danish Refugee Council as a Project Manager for a European Union Emergency Trust Fund funded Project that was implemented in Northern Uganda and West Nile, delivering livelihoods, Conflict Management and Accelerated Education interventions.
Mr. Opata completed a master’s degree in African Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom in 2012.
