
Dr. Puji Pujiono is a Senior Adviser to the Pujiono Centre, an Indonesian local NGO on disaster and humanitarian knowledge management. He is also a founder of the CSOs/NGOs Network-of-Network for Covid-19 and the Indonesian Development-Humanitarian Alliance. He is known to be a person behind the Indonesian Disaster Management Law, who also initiated ASEAN's disaster management and humanitarian portfolio, including the designing of its regional agreement and the governing body.
A social worker by profession, Dr. Pujiono holds a doctoral degree in Public Administration from the Philippines and an advanced study on planning and decision science at Tokyo Institute of Technology. He has more than 20-year progressive professional and managerial career in disaster risk management and humanitarian emergencies both in the field and at headquarters with various UN organisations.
Recently, Dr. Pujiono became NEAR Network’s Sherpas in the Grand Bargain 2.0, as well as a member of the Facilitation Group, voicing the humanitarian CSOs and NGOs from the Global South
